Scout Fair 2008!

at Qualcomm Stadium!


The San Diego – Imperial Council Scout Fair is coming! This annual community wide event showcases our first-class programs in a fun and exciting way. Cubs, Boy Scouts, Varsity team members, Venturers and Explorers from across our Council join together for a day of good-old Scouting fun!


This year’s Scout Fair takes place on Saturday, April 19, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, in the southeastern parking lot at Qualcomm Stadium. The theme is “Emergency Preparedness” and our Grand Marshall will be announced soon.


Scout Fair offers something for everyone … Scouts, siblings, adult leaders, family and friends. There are plenty of opportunities to participate, including:


  • Sponsoring and running a Scout Fair booth

  • Joining in on our Scout Fair Campout

  • Racing in the world famous San Diego 500 Pinewood Derby

  • Belt Loop Alley where Cub Scouts may earn belt loops

  • Earning badges at the Merit Badge Midway

  • Sharing your best recipes in our Cooking and Dutch Oven contests

  • Selling Scout Fair tickets and earning money for your unit

  • and meeting our nation’s finest at our law enforcement, firefighting and military displays

LEADER'S GUIDE (Revised 3/19/2008)


TICKET INCENTIVES: (Revised 3/19/2008)

For each ticket sold, the unit will receive $2.00 per ticket commission. No minimum number of tickets to sell and no minimum number of youth to sell. Units will receive a flat commission of $2.00 per ticket sold.

Special Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Top Unit: the Unit with the highest number of tickets sold will get a free weekend at Camp Mataguay for the entire Pack/Troop/Team or Crew.
  • Individual Scout selling at least 5 ticket will receive a 2 for 1 Legoland Ticket.
  • Individual Scout selling at least 10 tickets will receive the 2 for 1 Legoland ticket and a Top Ticket Seller patch.
  • Top 5 Ticket sellers in the Council will receive a special Gift Package.


FOOD SALES:

Due to Stadium contractual obligations, food will be sold by the Charger Stadium food vendor – at their stadium prices. Just a reminder, it is permissible for individuals to bring in their own food and beverages to the Scout Fair.
