The purpose of this course is to help commissioners augment their skills beyond those of Commissioner Basic Training and to expand the unit service philosophy.
After completing basic training and being commissioned, commissioners should continue their training by attending monthly district commissioner cabinet meetings. In addition to these meetings, a commissioner should attend this annual training event where nationally developed courses, resource materials, and training recognition provide fun, sparkle, and motivation to help commissioners to continue to learn good unit service skills.
Intense leadership and management training focused on the 'how-to' aspects of managing a successful youth led Sea Scout program. While Seabadge was developed as an advanced leadership training program for experienced Sea Scout adult leaders the course is open to all adult Scout leaders. Valid for three years.
This course is advanced training for adult leaders in Scouting designed to enhance contemporary leadership skills and develop more effective Scout leaders. The Wood Badge program gives participants a greater understanding of Scouting aims and methods, while developing true Scout Spirit.
