MERIT BADGE MIDWAY:

Pre-registration for the Merit Badge Midway is now performed online. With the online registration system, more scouts will have an opportunity to participate in Merit Badge classes.

The new method will allow scouts to choose from a list of classes and times. The number of class offerings will vary depending on the nature of the merit badge. Each class will have a maximum class size, as set by the merit badge counselor.

  • Most sessions for a merit badge will be filled (prior to the Fair) by advance online registration.
  • Scouts are limited to two merit badge sessions: one in the morning (9 - 11am) and one in the afternoon (12 - 2pm).
  • Scouts may begin to work on a merit badge and earn a PARTIAL for most merit badges offered. (See Offered Merit Badges below)
  • Scouts should bring a signed merit badge card (blue card) that is completely filled out.
  • Review the list of merit badges being offered and the requirements that should be completed prior to the Fair.
  • Troops that register to run a booth at the Scout Fair will be given priority to register for merit badges.

What to do the day of the Scout Fair:

  • Pre-registered Scouts should arrive 10 minutes before their schedule class with required materials (if any) and their signed blue card. Please check the map for the location of The Merit Badge Midway. Each class location will have a sign posted in front and volunteers will be present if you need directions. Any Scout not present at the start of class will lose their assigned spot to a Scout on the standby list.
  • Unregistered Scouts may arrive 10 minutes before a scheduled class for a spot on a standby list. If a pre-registered Scout fails to check in before the start of a class, Scouts will be accepted from the standby list, as space permits.

Merit Badge Midway Resources:

  • Offered Merit Badges
  • All Merit Badge classes are FULL. Scouts are welcome to try the standby list on Saturday (see above for how that works).

Check back often, as we may be adding more merit badges in the coming weeks!
